The General Labourer is an integral member of the build crew, building pools. This position will take direction from the Build Crew Foreman. The General Labourer is expected to be both a reliable and dependable crew member who prides themselves on hard work and dedication to accomplishing a task. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with an eagerness to learn and a positive attitude. You work well independently and in a team environment and have strong physical capability.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Here's what your day-to-day looks like:
- Preparing construction sites, materials, and tools
- Loading and unloading building materials
- Perform general labour tasks as assigned by the Build Crew Foreman
- Clean and maintain work areas, tools, equipment, and company vehicles
- Always follow safety guidelines and procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of projects
- Adhere to company policies, regulations, and scheduling
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
What you'll need
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate has the following:
- Requires good manual dexterity (good hand and eye coordination)
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift and manipulate objects of 50+ pounds as required
- Ability to travel around the Maritimes, including overnight stays
- Physically able to engage core, back, and knees for repeated manual tasks
- Exceptional teamwork skills
We're looking for
Physical Demands & Environment
Employees may be required to stand or walk over 75% of the time. Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling may be required. Lifting 50+ pounds.
Work Environment:
- Working in wet, hot, and/or humid conditions will be required.
- Working near moving mechanical parts.
- Employees work in outdoor conditions. Loud noises are typical for this job.

Pool & Hot Tub Technician

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Pool & Hot Tub Technician will provide professional, reliable, and courteous customer service to our pool and hot tub customers in the Maritimes. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with an eagerness to learn and a positive attitude. You work well independently and in a team environment and have a strong ability to think analytically to both diagnose and make necessary repairs for our clients. If you are technically/mechanically inclined, and customer driven, we want you on our team! We also provide training to help you excel in your position on our team!
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Here's what your day-to-day looks like:
- Testing and balancing pool and spa water
- Ensure site safety meets Waterworks Pools & Spas Safety policy and legislated requirements
- Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all aspects of residential and commercial pools, and spas
- Effectively communicating with clients to explain work completed and how to operate systems
- Maintaining equipment, parts, and chemical inventory on company vehicle
- Leading or aiding in spa deliveries, liner installations, and build crew tasks
- Reporting to the Service Department to ensure that the notes are processed accurately and promptly
- Driving company vehicle to job sites and reporting issues with vehicle to the Warehouse Manager and/or Service Manager
- Assist in liner preparation and installation and installing pool safety covers
What you'll need
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate has the following:
- 1+ years of experience in pools and/or landscape maintenance is an asset
- Have a clean abstract and valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job (able to lift 50 pounds or more)
- Flexibility to travel and possible overnights
- Detail oriented with an ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both with customers and colleagues
- Exceptional teamwork and interpersonal skills
